General Guidelines

  • All the signatures on each supported documents should be in BLUE INK only.
  • Each applicant for a personal digital signature certificate must provide proof of Identity and proof of address.
  • Identity proof and Address proof for Indian Nationals can be attested only by Banker, Gazetted officer (list in tabular form below) or Post Master. The attestation can happen in BLUE INK only.
  • The name, designation, employee code, branch address and branch landline contact no. of the attesting officer should be clearly visible. With this, the DSC authorities should able to trace and contact the attesting officer if required. Only clear and complete attestation should be accepted. Attestation is applicable for paper documents only. If seal is not visible, the self-attested copy of organizational Identity card of attesting officer should be enclosed. Signature of the Attesting officer should be in BLUE INK only
  • In case subscriber’s signature is different from that in ID Proof, a physical verification needs to be carried out.
  • Mobile verification (Tele-Verification) to be done by applicant after processing of application. (If due to any reason mobile/tele-verification fails then Original Application will not be given back as it will be submitted to company. Even amount will not be refunded.)
  • The authentication credentials to download the DSC would be sent through SMS ONLY on the Applicants Mobile Number.
  • Email address and phone number should be active and working.
  • Power of attorney is not allowed for the purpose of DSC.
  • DSC authorities may ask for more supporting documents, if required.

Following conditions apply with the required documents:

  • Both the Proof of Identity and Address should contain the signature of the applicant.
  • In case of any utility bills like electricity, water, gas and telephone bill, in the name of the applicant, the recent proof, but not earlier than 3 months from the date of application should be attached.
  • Copy of supporting document should be attested by any one of the following:
    • Gazetted officers
    • Bank Manager / Authorized executive of the Bank
    • Post Master

Hague Convention / Apostille Treaty is an international treaty drafted by the Hague Conference on Private International Law. It specifies the modalities through which a document issued in one of the signatory countries can be certified for legal purposes in all the other signatory states.

Paperless DSC

In case of urgency, any Indian Applicant having a valid Aadhar Card can get their DSC in 15 minutes without any legal paper work. Please refer the below steps for obtaining the same:


1. Take one xerox along with the original copy of your Aadhar Card

2. Visit the outlet* in person along with your valid Aadhar Card

3. Physical Verification

4. Get your DSC in just 15 minutes.
